Rare oversized antique / vintage black cherry color amber bakelite dice:

~ Pair or set of 2

~ Large 1 1/8" size

~ Rounded edges or corners

~ The color is so rich and deep they appear to be black - until you closely
inspect a wear or chipped area and you can spot the black cherry amber color if
you look just right

~ These are very old and in as-found condition. They aren't perfect - most
examples aren't due to the nature of the material, effects of age and use, etc.

~ No cracks that I found - although there are several areas that exhibit
chipping

~ Ready and waiting for your display, collection, and/or gift giving

ESTIMATED AGE OR ERA = True antique / vintage pieces - broadly guessing 1920's
to 1940's in age, first half of the 20th century anyway for certain

METAL AND/OR MATERIAL = Deep rich almost black cherry amber bakelite

CLOSURE/CLASP = x

MARKS = None that I could find - although these look very German in style

TESTING = Passed both the rub and smell and Simichrome tests for bakelite

MEASUREMENTS = 1 1/8" across

US RING SIZE = x

WEIGHT = 59.3 together on my scale

INVENTORY NUMBER = x

CONDITION = Acceptable vintage condition - given the age and rarity. There are
chips described and pictured above - no cracks that I found. The dot paint or
pips are pretty nicely intact. I did photo and show all 6 sides of each di - so
please inspect. Just about if not every side has a flaw, quirk, or imperfection
of some sort. But - I would still say that that this set is in average to above
average condition. Hard to find collectible pieces in an excellent state of
preservation overall.

Please view & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to
determine the amount of patina and/or wear. Most older pieces by nature
normally have some degree of both and, unless severe, aren't considered damaged
and not mentioned. Individuals do have varying levels of desire and tolerance
for "vintage charm" so do utilize the scroll arrows beside the photos to allow
yourself the opportunity to view them all, as they are an integral part and
extension of the description.
